Fridays Work

Today we finished with a test. Many of you did poorly on it. it is a combination of having the classes mixed up, along with me not preparing you as well as I should. the classes who have been mine since the beginning of the year did well. Average score was 9/14. The classes that started with me this week, the scores were lower, about 7/14 was the average.

I am still trying to figure out how to curve the scores on GRADEBOOK, so give me some time to adjust your scores like I told you I would. So the grade you see now has NOT been adjusted.

the homework for all classes is
"Daffynition decoder" Worksheet.

Remember that a fraction is just division.

Turn in all your homework next Monday. late work not accepted from this week if it is turned in AFTER Monday.

Thursday

OK, so the sub made it confusing on what the homework was.

For most classes it was the "Where is your nose" multiplication sheet. I counted it as extra credit becuase many of you did not know it was homework. So, if you did it, good. If you did not do it, don't worry, its only extra credit.

Homework for today:
Period 1
Page 75

Period 2,3
Multiplication Sheet

Period 4, 6, 7

This is a lot of problems, but practice makes us perfect. There will not be so many next week when we are learning properties.

PLEASE remember to show up before the bell rings, and have all your work out and ready to go. I have had many talks with students about these first two rules of the classroom. They are the most important, and I urge you to follow them

1) Be in your seat working when the bell rings
2) Get ready for the warm-up and wok on it quietly

I have two new puzzles in the room, stop by my desk to check them out.

Wednesday and the Calendar

I am sorry those of you who are trying to see the calendar, there is nothing for this week or next week. I will try to fix this by tomorrow.

I will not be in class tomorrow (Thursday), you will havea substitute. Remember, treat her as you would treat me. It reflects on both of us how you behave with the sub. It will be an easy day, just relax, enjoy it, and don't mess up.

The homework for today is the backside of the worksheet from class "Simeons Wrench". Be sure to write your answers next to the problems.

Starting tomorrow for period 1 and later for periods 2-7, we will be taking another assessment test. Be sure you try your best on this, as this one might move you up into an honors class. So many of you did well on the previous test that thy are considering making more honors classes.

Do your best.

Calendar

The calendar has been updated with the next weeks activities. It will be a little off because you will have class 4 times a week, not 5, so take the days into account when you see what we are going to be doing. If there is no class for you on Tuesday, just assume what we do on Tuesday when you are not there is what we are doing on Wednesday.

Monday we will get books, and I will go over how we are going to keep track of homework, and some other small details about the classroom. Since it is a short day, we might have to push or schedule back for everything 1 day.

See you Monday.
Mr. B.
