Some things I did...

Heres a picture of another bottle I made, this one was for my aunt. It is a deck of cards, with the sticker still on top, with a bolt going through it, and a knot through the deck tied on top. I like the knot because you can't see the ends of the rope. I spend my time doing this, and I challenge you to try them too!

Its Friday, its payday....

Yeah, you made it. Hope you enjoy your break. Don't forget too much becuase we start fresh when you get back in January. Check back every few days for new games, puzzles, and random posts of what I do. Have fun!

Here are some fun flash games!

Thursday What?

Today most of the classes turned in their tracking sheets and put the corrected work into their blue folders. Those of you who forgot to bring your tracking sheets PLEASE bring them tomorrow. Thanks again to periods 4, 5, and 6 for getting a great report from the substitute.

Tomorrow is the last day, and we will continue where we left off today. Please bring your tracking sheet if you did not turn it in today.

The sub and the graph

Today we did some basic graphing, and well done goes out to periods four and six, for maintaining their movie rights for tomorrow. Check back over the break to see some neat places to visit for games and puzzles. All the things that will keep your mind sharp.

Chess

Rubik's Cube Online

If you were wondering where I was Wednesday, here is a picture of the waves that day. On the far left is a guy on a boogey board, so you can tell how big the wave is. I ended up breaking my surfboard that day and riding on a lifeguards jetski to get in, but it was well worth it. The wave in this picture is about as tall as the building our class is in.

Fraction House

For today, you made fraction houses. Here are some room sizes:

Living Room 1: 50 sq feet
Living Room 2: 80 sq feet
Bathroom 1: 20 sq feet
Bathroom 2: 40 sq feet
Kitchen: 80 sq feet
Bedroom 1: 50 sq feet
Bedroom 2: 80 sq feet

Hopefully tonight you color the house plans in and make them look really nice. Tomorrow we will do some basic review of fractions and probably some other fun things.

First Post

Today, we multiplied fractions. Remember that you multiple the tops together (the numerators) and the bottoms (denominators). Straight Across!! Yes, it is that easy. Tomorrow we will do projects based on this so come prepared.

Also, I will add some links of cool stuff so you will not get bored over the break. The first one is a web page that shows you how to solve a Rubik's Cube.
