Some people were wondering about this, so I thought I should put it up. The green flash is what you see the sun make just as it sets over the horizon. Many people say it is fake, but that is because they have not seen it. I have seen it a few times, and here is a sequence of picture that show a really good one. It was taken over the mountains in France from an observatory. You can see the flame pass into the clouds just before the sun sets.
