Starting square roots, remember that square roots are just the opposite of squaring a number

42 = 16 and √16 = 4
They are the reverse of each other.
Some other radicals:
√36 = 6
√49 = 7
Even some difficult ones are easy. Just look at the first numbers to find the small square root, then add some zeros.
√1600 looks like √16 with some zeros after it.
We can do the same thing with the answer.
The answer to √16 is 4, and the answer to √1600 is just 40. Just add the zero.
