Hint #1
Remember, when a decimal as a number in front, like 3.12 or 4.75. This is the whole number part.

3.12 will equal 3 and 12/100. 4.75 will equal 4 and 75/100

Same for fractions
6 2/3 will be 6. and the decimal will be whatever 2/3 is.

## Friday, November 7, 2008

### FRIDAY 11/7/08

The grades posted are current for the quizzes we took today.

Homework for Periods 1,2,3
#2-25 on page 145

For periods 4,6,7
#1-5, and #12-27 on page 188

For both groups, equivalent fractions are jsut fractions that simplify to the same fraction

1/2 = 2/4 = 3/6 = 4/8 .......

Even fractions like 4/11 = 8/22 = 12/33 = 16/44 = 20/55 = 24/66......

just multiply the numerator and denominator by some common number to change the num ers but not the value of the fraction.
